OTTAWA, Ontario, February 23, 2021 – Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) is hosting Level Up! With
Skills Canada, a one-day interactive FREE virtual event for career exploration, being held on February
This event will include a captivating Q&A and Talk Shop session with HGTV personalities Kate Campbell
and Sebastian Clovis; several Essential Skills Talks featuring industry experts and Skills Canada alumni;
lively panel discussions about skilled trade and technology careers and the importance of essential
workers; Essential Skills Accessibility and Inclusion session with keynote speaker Marco Pasqua; SCC
National Board of Directors and partner roundtables; an informative Automotive Technology Summit; a
fun scavenger hunt featuring a trivia challenge where students can win great prizes for themselves and
their schools, and much more. This will be an opportunity for students to learn more about the wide
variety of interesting and lucrative careers that exist in the skilled trade and technology sectors.

Skills/Compétences Canada, its 13 provincial/territorial Member Organizations, over 70 of their industry,
education and government partners, SCC Alumni, and HGTV celebrity guests, will be participating in this
exciting event to inform Canadians about the importance of skilled trade and technology careers. Over
3,000 students, apprentices, teachers and career seekers from across Canada will attend this virtual
career exploration event.
This one-day interactive virtual event will be held on February 25, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST.
