Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) is very pleased to welcome new and returning sponsors / suppliers for the 2015 Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC). This support is vital to the success of the event, and ensures competitors have access to state-of-the-art tools and equipment that meet industry standards.

UA Canadian Piping Trades returns for the third consecutive year as presenting sponsor. SCC welcomes first-time presenting sponsor TransCanada’s Energy East Pipeline Project. UA and TransCanada will participate in a joint Try-A-Trade® and Technology activity during the competition.

SCC has renewed its long-term partnerships with Stanley DeWalt, the Canadian Welding Association Foundation (CWAF), Festo, and Fluke. SCC has also established long-term supplier agreements with In-House Solutions, Ricoh, Mac Tools, Southwire Canada, and VW/Audi who join other long-term suppliers: Thomas Skinner, Mitutoyo, Lincoln Electric, Dermalogica, ConsuLab, General International, Sandvik Coromant, Pivot Point, and AMJ Campbell.

Rockwell Automation has increased their support this year and, in addition to their contribution as supporting sponsor, Rockwell is the official gold level supplier of the Automation and Control contest area. SCC is pleased to welcome its returning supporting sponsors: Haas, Canadian Construction Association, Canadian Nursery Landscape Association, Studica and Wurth. We welcome the Saskatchewan Masonry Institute/Canadian Masonry Contractors Association as a supporting sponsor. Lastly, we’re pleased to announce that the Sheet Metal Workers Local 296 Saskatchewan is on board as a three-year supporting sponsor of SCNC.

The Try-A-Trade® and Technology component will be well represented this year. Stanley DeWalt, Mac Tools, the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada (RVDA), Fountain Tire, Ironworkers Local 771, and Schluter® Systems will join UA and TransCanada in hosting their respective activities that will educate and entertain visitors. Exhibitors in the Career Zone will also have interactive activities that highlight the occupations they represent. Activities will tie-in to this year’s Essential Skills theme of numeracy.
