Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n

I chose mechatronics as a career because I love working with robots. Mechatronics gives me a complete understanding of an automation system, including the electrical, mechanical and programming aspects. I love this field because of the opportunities that are provided for me to work with robotics and all the different applications. My goal is to become a mechatronics engineer and start my own business.<\/p>\n

I got involved with skills competitions because of my program coordinator. During the first week of school, he gave a compelling speech that helped me decide on what extracurricular activity I was going to commit to. My experience so far has been life changing. It was exciting to find out I\u2019d be competing at WorldSkills Lyon 2024. I\u2019m very proud to represent Canada on the world stage. The biggest challenge about competing at WorldSkills Lyon 2024, is the 16 months between the Skills Canada National Competition and the WorldSkills Competition. Staying motivated to train every day is a challenge. I\u2019m really looking forward to meeting the other competitors and learning about their experiences and their culture.<\/p>\n

Interesting fact<\/strong>
\nMy hobby has evolved into mechatronics training. In my free time, I practice other things that will help me in the competition and during my training.<\/p>\n

Skills for Success<\/strong>
\nAdaptability has been instrumental in my training and during competitions. The best advice I\u2019ve ever received: Speed is important but getting it perfect the first time is of paramount importance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
