I started learning my trade during my summer vacations in high school when I worked for my father&#8217;s company in industrial maintenance. I then decided to continue my education by enrolling in industrial mechanics, in electromechanics. I&#8217;d like to gain experience in several branches of my trade so that one day I can become self-employed and have my own machine shop.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, my coach approached me to see if I&#8217;d be interested in taking part in skills competitions and I immediately agreed. It was an incredibly enriching experience that helped me develop my confidence, my skills and build new friendships. I was on cloud nine when I learned I\u2019d be competing at WorldSkills Lyon 2024. Taking part in the WorldSkills Competition had been my ultimate goal all along. In my opinion, my biggest challenge will be mental preparation, as these competitions are mentally exhausting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interesting fact<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">I&#8217;m an ATV enthusiast, I&#8217;ve owned a few, and it was on these machines that I started out as a mechanic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills for Success<br \/>\n<\/strong>Reading has been an instrumental skill for me in my training and during the competition.<br \/>\nI believe that in my profession you never finish learning and you have to acquire as much knowledge as possible.
