I started my journey at the provincial skills competition in 2023, in Qu\u00e9bec, competing in Cabinetmaking. From there, I advanced to the Skills Canada National Competition 2023, in Winnipeg, where I earned the opportunity to represent Canada at the 47<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> WorldSkills Competition, in Lyon, France, in 2024. It\u2019s been an amazing experience that has opened so many doors!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Joining the National Alumni Committee<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I joined the National Alumni Committee (NAC) because I\u2019m passionate about helping young people achieve their goals. I want to inspire them to participate in skills competitions and show them how these experiences can be transformative for their professional growth and future careers.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Overcoming Career Barriers<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Leaving my family and friends to participate in skills competitions was challenging, but I felt proud to follow my passion and pursue something I truly believed in.
