My Skills Journey<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I competed in my Skill Area of Industrial Control at the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) 2018, in Edmonton where I won the bronze medal. I was also fortunate to compete at the WorldSkills Competition 2019, in Kazan, Russia. My involvement with Skills\/Comp\u00e9tences Canada has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The skills that I\u2019ve acquired while participating in skills competitions are immeasurable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining the National Alumni Committee<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I decided to join the National Alumni Committee (NAC) because I believe that this opportunity will enable me to enhance the skills that I use in Industrial Control. Being a NAC member will also help me build on my people skills, and provide me with more travel opportunities. I\u2019m also really looking forward to becoming friends with such a talented group of people and sharing my skills experience with others.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overcoming Career Barriers<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout my years of being involved in the skills movement, I\u2019ve repeatedly learned from the major mistakes I\u2019ve made at skills competitions. I\u2019m dedicated to fixing those mistakes as I develop and advance in my career.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Proudest Moment<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
