Biography<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ve always enjoyed making things. Studying Mechatronics means that I\u2019m turning my hobby into a career. It\u2019s so satisfying to understand how a machine works and the potential of what can be done with it. My career goal is to find a job where I can be active and stay busy all day.<\/p>\n

When I started my program at Humber, I was shown a project from the WorldSkills Competition 2017. It inspired me to develop my skills to a world-class level. I\u2019ve been training for three years, and it\u2019s paid off. I will be representing Canada at the WorldSkills Competition 2026, in Shanghai, China! I believe the biggest challenge will be competing against Team China. They\u2019re always at the top of the podium in Mechatronics, and this time we’re on their turf.<\/p>\n

Interesting fact<\/strong>
\n<\/span>One of my favorite things to do is go out on the water with nothing but me, my canoe and my paddle to explore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Skills for Success<\/strong>
\nProblem Solving is definitely the top skill to help me succeed. There are hundreds of components in a Mechatronics task and any of them can be damaged or installed incorrectly. I also need to write a complex program that controls the system. Many things can go wrong, so it\u2019s critical to diagnose and fix the issues as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
