I love how adaptable my trade is. We get thrown into different challenges, then figure out what\u2019s wrong with a machine and fix it. I\u2019m constantly learning new things and improving my skills. I\u2019d like to start my own company and become one of the best at what I do.<\/p>\n<p>I was encouraged to enter Skills competitions by a coach at SAIT. I won the gold medal in my trade at the Skills Canada National Competition 2025, in Regina. Then I found out I was going to represent Canada at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, in Shanghai. That news made me feel so fulfilled and satisfied. It proved that hard work and the desire to succeed really does pay off. My biggest challenges in Shanghai will be possible language barriers and having to adapt to a completely new environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interesting Fact<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter high school, I went to university but quickly realized it wasn\u2019t the right fit for me. That\u2019s when I decided to explore the millwright trade\u2014and I ended up loving it and discovering a real passion for it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills for Success<\/strong><br \/>\nI feel that Adaptability and Problem Solving are the key skills that will help me succeed in my trade.
