April has been the Director of Finance at Skills\/Comp\u00e9tences Canada (SCC) since 2005. In her role, she finds critical thinking to be her most used Skill for Success because she deals with financial situations that require the ability to analyze data, identify problems and propose solutions. April has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and a Certified General Accountant designation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I weren\u2019t at Skills Canada, I would be a plumber because I like making things that do not work, work again \u2013and better.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

April enjoys watching Mobile Robotics at the Skills Canada National Competition because she is fascinated by how robots navigate and interact with the world. She likes taking walks and reading on her days off. April also loves travelling whenever she can and has been to more than 10 countries including Turks and Caicos, Spain and the United Kingdom, specifically Gibraltar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
