Biography<\/h3>\n

I chose a career in the skilled trades because I feel that I am better suited for this type of work and environment, as opposed to sitting at a desk in an office setting. I like to be on my feet, working with my hands and building something. I chose welding as my future career because I find this field to be challenging mentally and physically.<\/p>\n

My career goal is to work as a pressure welder or to have my own welding rig and weld on the pipeline. I got involved with Skills Canada competitions when I took my first level of welding and my instructor selected me to compete in a regional competition. This journey has led me to compete at the upcoming 2017 WorldSkills Competition.<\/p>\n

Interesting Fact<\/h3>\n

His biggest inspiration is his mother who has taught him to have a strong work ethic and keep a level head.<\/p>\n

Essential Skills<\/h3>\n

I consider continuous learning to be the most important Essential Skill to succeed as a welder. During my training, I am always trying to perfect my skills and learn how to do things differently to improve these.<\/p>\n
