Gerald Manning lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut and is currently working as a Project Manager at NCC Development Limited working on large scale construction projects throughout Nunavut. Gerald is a Red Seal Endorsed Carpenter and has recently completed his Blue Seal Program certificate. He is currently working his way towards Project Manager Professional designation and then funnel into the Gold Seal Program.<\/p>\n
Gerald has been involved with Skills Comp\u00e9tences Canada (SCC) since 2012 in Edmonton when he competed in the SCC National Competition for Carpentry. Gerald saw the value that this competition had on his life and his career and wanting to reach more young people and encourage them to get involved in trades he joined the Skills Canada National Technical Committee (NTC) in 2015 representing Nunavut for Carpentry.<\/p>\n
Gerald has also been involved with the Skills Canada Nunavut board since 2015 and has served different roles such as director, vice-president\/treasurer, and secretary.<\/p>\n
Gerald is a strong advocate for youth across Canada encouraging them to get involved in the trades and technologies and helping them explore the many rewarding careers and possibilities that are out there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
