The RBC Best of Region Sponsor will honour Canadian youth again this year, as they continue to support the next generation of skilled trade and technology workers. This award will be given to the top scoring competitors from each province and territory. These champions will also receive a $1,500 cash award to be presented by an RBC representative at the closing ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRBC is committed to strengthening the workforce of tomorrow by equipping People with Skills for a Thriving Future\u201d said Mark Beckles, Vice President, Social Impact &amp; Innovation, RBC. \u201cWe are proud to sponsor the Skills Canada National Competition as it represents a fantastic opportunity to empower Canada\u2019s youth to embrace the skilled trades and technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased that this national competition is taking place in Quebec this year, where over the course of several days, students from across the province will come together to learn and to showcase their respective skills,\u201d explains Nadine Renaud-Tinker, Regional President, RBC in Quebec. \u201cOn behalf of team RBC, we wish all competitors the best of luck!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the Centre de foires d\u2019Expocit\u00e9, on May 30 and 31, 2024, over 500 competitors including future builders, plumbers, mechanics, journey-people, chefs, IT specialists and many more will be going head-to-head to become Canada\u2019s champions. In addition, an estimated 8,000 students from all over the province will be invited to watch the competitions and participate in over 50 Try-A-Trade\u00d2 and Technology activities throughout the two-day event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRBC\u2019s dedication to empowering individuals in these essential fields aligns with our vision for a stronger, more skilled workforce.
