Comment se peut-il que des personnes ne pensent pas que nous avons besoin de plus de gens de m\u00e9tier pour occuper des postes dans le secteur industriel au Canada alors que nous importons beaucoup de travailleurs \u00e9trangers? Cette solution a \u00e9t\u00e9 essay\u00e9e dans les ann\u00e9es 1930, quand il y avait une demande pour des travailleurs de tout type et que, selon la th\u00e9orie pr\u00e9dominante, il \u00e9tait pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable d\u2019en importer plut\u00f4t que de former des Canadiens. Il en est r\u00e9sult\u00e9 toutes sortes de probl\u00e8mes. Comme bien des gens s\u2019appr\u00eatent \u00e0 prendre leur retraite, les plans de rel\u00e8ve, peu importe le genre, nous diraient que le temps est venu de faire travailler plus d\u2019apprentis pour remplacer la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qualifi\u00e9e qui s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 partir et que les entrepreneurs exigent de nous partout au Canada. Les gens de m\u00e9tier dans leur cinquantaine et leur soixantaine se sentent menac\u00e9s dans leur emploi, tandis que les entrepreneurs estiment que les apprentis ne sont pas aussi productifs qu\u2019un compagnon.\u00a0 Ces deux groupes ont raison d\u2019une certaine mani\u00e8re, mais, si nous attendons que tout le monde ait pris sa retraite, qui formera la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre de demain? Le mentorat par les gens de m\u00e9tier en poste est n\u00e9cessaire pour toute forme d\u2019apprentissage. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 80 p. 100 des comp\u00e9tences pratiques sont acquises ainsi. Gr\u00e2ce au mentorat, la vraie compr\u00e9hension d\u2019un m\u00e9tier est transf\u00e9r\u00e9e \u00e0 un apprenti qui essaie de progresser.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uacanada.ca\/index.php?lang=fr\">AU Canada<\/a> demande \u00e0 tout le monde d\u2019embaucher des apprentis, sur les champs de p\u00e9trole, dans les centrales nucl\u00e9aires, pour toutes sortes de projets de construction et m\u00eame pour des projets d\u2019entretien, afin que nous puissions avoir des jeunes au travail. En recrutant plus d\u2019apprentis de premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, moins de travailleurs temporaires \u00e9trangers sont embauch\u00e9s et on s\u2019inscrit dans un plan de rel\u00e8ve national pour la formation de la nouvelle main-d\u2019\u0153uvre. Nous incitons les gouvernements, l\u2019industrie et quiconque veut bien nous \u00e9couter \u00e0 embaucher des apprentis de premi\u00e8re et de deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e, en particulier, afin de pourvoir les postes. Certes, nous voulons r\u00e9duire au minimum le recours aux travailleurs temporaires \u00e9trangers, mais ce n\u2019est pas parce que nous ne voulons de travailleurs form\u00e9s ailleurs qu\u2019au Canada.\u00a0 Nous voulons nous attaquer au probl\u00e8me des jeunes Canadiens \u00ab\u00a0sous-employ\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb qui n\u2019ont jamais eu l\u2019occasion de comprendre notre secteur et la qualit\u00e9 de vie associ\u00e9e au travail dans la construction.\u00a0 Les jeunes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s dans l\u2019optique d\u2019obtenir des dipl\u00f4mes coll\u00e9giaux et universitaires qui ne se traduisent pas n\u00e9cessairement par des emplois et qui risquent d\u2019engendrer une \u00e9norme dette. Ils n\u2019ont jamais compris les avantages et le niveau de vie acquis par le travailleur de la construction d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">En outre, AU Canada travaille \u00e0 l\u2019harmonisation des normes d\u2019apprentissage avec le gouvernement du Canada, afin que la formation re\u00e7ue dans une r\u00e9gion du pays soit accept\u00e9e partout ailleurs, pour r\u00e9duire les obstacles affront\u00e9s par les apprentis qui se d\u00e9placent d\u2019une province \u00e0 l\u2019autre \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un travail.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Par ailleurs, nous collaborons avec les grandes soci\u00e9t\u00e9s p\u00e9troli\u00e8res en Alberta et l\u2019Association canadienne des producteurs p\u00e9troliers (ACPP) afin qu\u2019il soit plus facile pour un apprenti de se d\u00e9placer pour aller travailler et que plus d\u2019apprentis de premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e soient sur le terrain. Outre cela, nous voulons que les entreprises conservent une proportion d\u2019apprentis lorsque les mises \u00e0 pied commencent, car, traditionnellement, c\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0 que tous les apprentis sont cong\u00e9di\u00e9s. Beaucoup d\u2019entreprises ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 accept\u00e9 cette solution et nous demanderons \u00e0 d\u2019autres de faire de m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Pour que le Canada ait un solide avenir, nous devons investir dans notre jeunesse maintenant. Cela signifie qu\u2019il faut promouvoir le recours aux apprentis dans nos lieux de travail et qu\u2019une personne de m\u00e9tier devrait demander un apprenti \u00e0 son contrema\u00eetre lorsqu\u2019il va travailler.
