Biography
I chose to pursue a career in Landscape Gardening because I’ve always loved working outdoors. Every day brings something new, whether it’s design, planting, or construction, and I enjoy the variety and creativity the job demands. I currently work at Mathieu Poisson Landscaping Services, my father’s business, and I’m proud to carry on the family tradition. My ultimate goal is to take the lead one day and continue growing the business with the same passion and dedication.

My journey with Skills Competitions began thanks to my father, who has been involved with the WorldSkills Competition since 2011 as a volunteer and is now my Trainer for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026. When I found out I’d be representing Canada alongside my partner at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, I was overwhelmed with joy and excitement. I know the road ahead will come with challenges—especially adapting to unfamiliar materials—but I’m ready to learn, grow, and give it my all on the world stage.

Interesting Fact
Whenever things get tough, I remind myself of my favourite saying: “It’s a game.” It helps me approach every challenge with a positive mindset.

Skills for Success
Adaptability has been an instrumental Skill for Success in my training process and during Skills competitions. This skill allows me to adapt to different circumstances. Collaboration is also a very important skill as I am competing as part of a team of two.
