Biography
I chose Beauty Therapy as a career because it offers countless career options that will allow me to incorporate my love of art and creativity into everything I do. I like to think that through my work I’ll be able to make someone’s day better! In the future, I’d like to explore the field of medical esthetics, which would be a challenging next step for me.

My esthetics teacher originally inspired me to enter the provincial Skills competition which led to me competing at the Skills Canada National Competition 2025. I won in my category and now I’ll be representing Canada at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, in Shanghai. This whole experience has been unbelievable! My biggest challenge in Shanghai will be trying to cope with the pressure of such a big competition. I know that although I’ll be nervous, I will still be able to perform, create and succeed! I’m also looking forward to meeting many new people and hearing about how they got to Shanghai.

Interesting fact
I love all forms of art but especially painting and listening to music.

Skills for Success
Many of the nine skills apply to my training and competition, but the most critical has been Creativity & Innovation. Beauty Therapy is a very artistic trade, and you must be creative in your design and application, based on the client in front of you. It can be incredibly challenging!
