Nathalie Maisonneuve

Coordinator, National Competitions

Competitions

Nathalie has been with Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) since 2019. She was the owner of her family company for 16 years and then worked as a secretary in a financial institution. Nathalie is now Coordinator of National Competitions at SCC. She manages and interacts with the National Technical Committee in all 45 Skill Areas and takes care of their needs and deliverables.

“If I weren’t at Skills Canada, I would be a cabinetmaker because I like the idea of starting from nothing and building something beautiful and practical that can last a lifetime.”

Nathalie gets her love for cabinetmaking from watching her family members involved in skilled trades practice their skills. She is inspired by her brother, a cabinetmaker himself, and her other brother and nephews who work in staircase design and fabrication. She also loves cooking and trying new recipes for her family and guests. Her comfort food to make and eat is chicken fettuccine alfredo. She finds the outdoors relaxing and takes every opportunity to be out and do activities such as kayaking or simply taking a walk.
