Business Development
Patrick has been part of Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) since 2018. As the Director of Business Development, he leads the team responsible for securing and managing both monetary and in-kind partnerships for the Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC). Patrick ensures that every partnership is smooth, impactful, and aligned with the goals of each organization. Before joining SCC, he competed in both the provincial skills competition and SCNC in Architectural Technology and Design.
“If I weren’t at Skills Canada, I’d be pursuing a career as a sheet metal worker because I enjoy working with metal. I’m drawn to the creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on aspects of the trade. Learning more about it would help me become more skilled, efficient, and knowledgeable in the field.”
Patrick enjoys watching all the competitions at SCNC, making it hard to pick a favorite. His curiosity, passion for technology, and exposure to different trades growing up influenced his interests. Some of those include Sheet Metal Work and 2D-3D Character Computer Animation for the creativity and technical skill the competitors showcase, and Precision Machining because it reminds him of his father’s career and all the work that goes into it. In his free time, Patrick loves playing video games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He also likes music and plays the piano and drums when he is not playing mechanic in the garage
