My Skills Background
I started my Skills journey in 2012 with Compétences Québec as a Trainer. Since then, I’ve participated in the Skills Canada National Competition for several years. Afterwards I participated as a member of the National Technical Committee at SCNC Winnipeg 2023, SCNC Québec 2024, and at SCNC Regina 2025.

I have been working in this field since 1986, and it still fascinates me even after nearly 39 years in the business. Mechanics is evolving so quickly that there is no time to find this job monotonous, so it pushes me to stay up to date, and it’s really exciting.

The Importance of Training
To prepare my competitor, I’m identifying the gaps in his knowledge and helping him strengthen those areas. My goal is to optimize his performance so he can be more competitive at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 and proudly represent our country. I hope my competitor has a positive experience and pushes himself to the max. This experience is the chance of a lifetime. This will be a great adventure for him, I’m convinced of that.

Why I Love Volunteering
I became an Expert to gain new experiences, and since I am competitive by nature, I think my background can be beneficial to our competitor to prepare for the WorldSkills Competition. By participating as an Expert, I will also get to know new people and experience the challenge of being able to provide our competitor with all the resources possible.
