My Skills Background
I’m a professional engineer and electrical instructor, and I’m passionate about designing and applying industrial control systems. I find great fulfillment in sharing my knowledge with the younger generation and supporting their growth and success. I’ve been training students for Skills competitions since 2018. One of my students competed for Team Canada at WorldSkills Lyon 2024; another student will compete for Team Canada at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.

Training Champions
I believe I’m an effective Trainer due to my extensive industrial knowledge and experience in control system design, hardware and programming. Working with my competitor, we’ll create a monthly training schedule and set clear targets. I’ll provide a supportive, well-equipped working environment, including necessary materials and tools. As a Trainer, I believe thorough preparation is key to a successful competition outcome. I hope my competitor achieves a strong result and understands that success will result from his own hard work and dedication, both in competition and in his future career.

Why I Love Volunteering
As a Trainer, I feel proud and fulfilled when my competitor achieves impressive results. This role gives me a strong sense of purpose. I’ve collaborated with this current competitor for over two years, and I believe he chose me as his Trainer because he feels comfortable with my training style and finds it effective for his development. I’m grateful to Skills/Compétences Canada for the opportunity to help young people reach their full potential through hands-on, skills-based education.
