My Skills Background
I teach students how to make pastries, a passion that I enthusiastically share every day. I love watching my students flourish as they experiment with their creativity. Teaching this precise, meticulous art allows me to contribute to the training of the next generation of pastry chefs. This is my first experience volunteering with Skills/Compétences Canada.
Training Champions
I wanted to become a Trainer for WorldSkills Team Canada because I immediately recognized my candidate’s exceptional potential. Her talent, her thorough attention to detail and her passion immediately inspired confidence in me. My training program will consist of helping my competitor to fine-tune her techniques, while also encouraging her originality so that her pastry creations stand out.
For me, success at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 lies primarily in all the work accomplished beforehand. The competitor arrives on site, knowing that every move and every detail has been thought through and practiced. True success will be seeing my candidate build self-confidence, surpass her own expectations and feel a deep sense of pride in her accomplishments.
Why I Love Volunteering
I want to use my experience as a Trainer to further develop my technical skills in pastry making. While preparing for this high-level competition, I know that I will passionately absorb new knowledge to enhance my trade. I think my candidate chose me as her Trainer because she saw that passion and knew that I could push her to bring out the best in herself. This enriching adventure will benefit both of us for years to come.
