Biography

I started working for the company, JMC Stoneworks Ltd., cleaning up the shop, and then started going out to jobs and really liked it. The company I work for is rather small, so I would say my bosses and co-workers are my biggest inspirations as they are constantly teaching me and pushing me forward in my career and completions. I want to own my own company and build the biggest stone building I can get a contract for.

My teachers at school are skills coaches. Competing at the Skills Canada National Competition made me realize that I can do a lot more than I might think.

Interesting Fact

I used to be a lifeguard and taught people how to swim.

Skills for Success

I would say problem-solving and adaptability have been instrumental to my training process and during the skills competition because you are problem-solving pretty much the entire competition and trying to make stuff work on the fly. I think the most important skill to improve is problemsolving, as well. You can never be too good at figuring stuff out on the go. It will be a skill I will use every day for the rest of my life and will only get better.
