Biography

I chose to work as a machinist because I enjoy building a part from a CAD file or drawing, and it is a lucrative career.

I got involved with the skills competitions through my school teacher who encouraged me to participate. It’s been an inspiring experience as I got to see how much is being done to promote careers in the skilled trades and technologies. I look forward to competing at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition against the best in the world, and I hope to come back with a medal.

Interesting Fact

I play guitar in my spare time.

Skills for Success

The skill that has been instrumental in my training and during the competition is problem solving as I often run into issues either with a toolpath that won’t work on Mastercam, or making a fixture for a difficult part. I believe the Skill for Success I need to develop the most is my adaptability skills.
