Dr. Patrick Rouble
Dr. Patrick Rouble is passionate education leader and teacher with a background in public sector governance, post secondary education, workforce development, and national nonprofit leadership. He strongly believes in the dual purpose of education and training of helping to develop and address the needs of individuals and our communities.
Dr. Rouble has served in senior board leadership roles at both the national and territorial levels, including as President and Vice President of the national board of Skills Compétences Canada, where he provided fiduciary oversight, led governance reform, and supported executive leadership through periods of organizational change, including the COVID 19 pandemic. He has taught at the university and college levels and delivered business planning and marketing programs for däna Näye Ventures, a Yukon First Nation owned business development organization.
In addition to his board work, Dr. Rouble served for nine years as a Member of the Yukon Legislative Assembly and Cabinet Minister, with responsibility for Education; Energy, Mines & Resources; and the Public Service Commission. He is currently a Department Head at Yukon University and continues to contribute to governance, research, and advisory bodies at the national level.
Dr. Rouble holds a Doctor of Education (Educational Leadership), a Master of Business Administration, and credentials in instructional leadership and business administration. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal and has been recognized for his contributions to public service and education.
