Biography
My first thought after I graduated was to be an electrician, but I couldn’t get a job in that field. I knew I didn’t want to rely on the oil and gas industry. I decided to branch out a bit and got offered a job in the HVAC field, something I was not familiar with, nor did I learn it in high school. It turned out to be the perfect fit for me. I intend to become a journeyman, and after that, I would like to get a second ticket in sheet metal, gas fitting, or something relevant to HVAC.

In high school, I got the opportunity to participate in skills competitions for the electrical trade. Skills competitions has helped me realize my potential in this field.

Interesting Fact
My biggest inspiration is my dad because he is always helping me learn new things. We troubleshoot lots of things together with vehicles, quads, etc. He’s taught me many common-sense things that I use every day.

Skills for Success
Problem-solving is an important skill because of all the troubleshooting I have to do. Sometimes things aren’t correct, and I have to find a way to make them work.
