Biography
I chose to pursue Pâtisserie and Confectionery as my trade because it’s been my passion ever since I was young. What I love most is being able to express my creativity. Whether it’s sugar, chocolate, or cakes, there are so many facets involved in Patisserie and Confectionery that you never stop learning new techniques. My goal is to enjoy what I do and to continue improving my skills.

My teachers encouraged me to get involved in Skills competitions. The thought of competing using my baking abilities really appealed to me. So, I was thrilled when I won the gold medal at the Skills Canada National Competition 2025. But it was unbelievable when I was selected to compete at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026! My biggest challenge there will be managing stress and pressure while trying my best. I’m most looking forward to seeing what my fellow competitors create as I’m always fascinated to see where each person’s imagination takes them.

Interesting Fact
Believe it or not, my favorite hobby is baking. I’m always thinking about my next creation or the next technique I want to try. I even dream about it at night!

Skills for Success
Calculations are ever-present in baking, so Numeracy is a skill I absolutely rely on during training and competing. Whether it’s adapting a recipe or making sure you have the correct quantity of an ingredient, you’re always doing calculations. Creativity & Innovation are also critical skills for me. They make my projects stand out!
