Chantal Leduc

Executive Assistant & Office Manager

Administration and Finance

Chantal has been at Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) since 2015. As Executive Assistant and Office Manager, she assists the CEO in all his tasks and oversees SCC’s Board of Directors. She believes reading, adaptability, and communication are essential Skills for Sucess in her role because of the various paperwork and contracts she deals with and the interactions she has daily. Chantal worked with not-for-profit organisations for over 15 years and worked in event planning. Before her role as Executive Assistant, she spent five years working in the Competitions Department as a Logistics Coordinator.

“If I weren’t at Skills Canada, I would be a welder because using molten metal to join things together sounds so fun.”

Chantal comes from a family of skilled trade workers including, mechanics, miners, and construction workers to name a few. She loves watching the Cooking Skill Area at the Skills Canada National Competition and loved it even more when she saw Canada win gold at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, in Switzerland. Her extra-curricular activities include scrolling through TikTok, keeping her 38 plants alive, and searching Goodreads for new books before choosing her trusted favourites. She works best after her morning coffee and will never deny a nap.
