My Skills Background
I am excited to participate at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 as I had such a great experience last time when I went to WorldSkills Lyon 2024 with my competitor. It was an experience that was just as educational for me as it was for him.
I am a bricklaying-masonry teacher, and I have been in this industry for many years. The opportunity to teach this trade to a new generation fulfills me, both in passing on technical knowledge and in feeling that I am making a meaningful impact on the next generation.
Training Champions
I see my role as pushing competitors to reach their highest potential. I strongly believe in mental preparation and in the power of small habits to elevate a competitor to a high level of expertise. I consider practice and feedback essential in the process. My approach also involves exposing the competitor to unexpected situations so they can develop the ability to face the unforeseen.
I am a Trainer who focuses on the process. For me, success means building a strong training program based on the knowledge gained from past competitions. We have set a performance goal, but that’s not how I measure success. If I manage to draw out the best skills and abilities in my competitor, I’ll be happy. For me, success is all about the experience. I hope this competition becomes an event that provides building blocks for his future.
Why I Love Volunteering
For me it’s about the experience—establishing a supportive structure for the development of high-potential students, and possibly future competitors.
