My Skills Journey
Skills competitions came into my life when I was figuring out who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do. I competed in my Skill Area of 2D Animation in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Through my Skills journey, I’ve tried new things, discovered where I thrive, and made some of my closest lifelong friends.

Joining the National Alumni Committee (NAC)
I joined the NAC because I want to share my knowledge and passion with the next generation of competitors. Every year brings in fresh talent, and they raise the bar with their passion and skills. I can’t wait to see how this next group of competitors rises to the challenge!

Overcoming Career Barriers
On my career journey, I’ve often struggled with figuring out where I belong. I now realize that trying new things and even discovering they’re not for me is just as valuable as finding something I love. It’s important to be able to handle setbacks and then tell yourself, “Okay, onto the next thing!”

Proudest Moment
The proudest moment of my career so far has been seeing my work out in the real world — whether I come across it while out and about or see it online. Using our skills to create things is remarkable!
