My Skills Background
I’ve been involved with Skills competitions for many years, starting as a competitor in IT Network System Administration at the provincial Skills competition in BC. After competing, I gave back by volunteering as a judge in the same Skill Area, and today I’m proud to be a Trainer for the WorldSkills Competition 2026, in Shanghai.

Currently, I teach in the Computer Information Systems Administration (CISA) program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). With over 20 years of experience as an IT professional and educator, I specialize in CCNP-level networking, Linux/Unix, and Microsoft systems administration.

Training Champions
My approach to training a competitor for the WorldSkills Competition is built on continuous and systematic preparation. This competition offers an invaluable opportunity for a young professional to validate their abilities and measure themselves against the best in the world. Beyond technical excellence, it’s also about building confidence, discipline, and resilience. Ultimately, my goal is to help bring home a medal for Canada—and to be part of the incredible team effort that makes it possible.

Why I Love Volunteering
When I was asked to be a Trainer for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, I was absolutely thrilled. This opportunity allows me to connect with other Trainers and Experts from around the world. Volunteering with Skills has always been an incredibly rewarding experience—one that continues to inspire both my professional journey and my commitment to supporting the next generation of talent.
