Biography

Technology has always fascinated me. I specifically chose Cloud Computing as a career path because of its depth and complexity, which gives me ample room to learn and grow within it. I also like that it gives me the opportunity to refine and improve my skills from anywhere. I have been studying Cybersecurity and my long-term career goals are to manage a security firm and earn my PhD degree.

I was initially exposed to skills competitions when I began seeing posters about them displayed around campus. From the moment I started competing, I’ve found the competition experience to be intense, exciting and dynamic. It’s amazing that I’m going to represent our great nation on the international stage at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026! I’m most looking forward to travelling outside of Canada for the first time.

Interesting fact

I’m the first one in my immediate family to pursue studies at a post-secondary institution.

Skills for Success

The most instrumental Skill for Success for me has been Problem Solving. As I’ve advanced through my studies, I’ve discovered that a great deal of Cloud Computing involves troubleshooting so problem solving is an everyday occurrence. I follow the best advice I’ve ever received: Don’t stop until it’s over. You could perform your best work during the final minutes of your project.
