Luc Morin
Director, Venue Logistics
Venue Logistics
Luc was part of the first group of Skills/Compétences Canada provincial Member Organization Executive Directors that started in 1998. After being the Executive Director of Skills Canada New-Brunswick for 20 years, Luc joined the Skills Canada national office team in March 2019. Luc’s role as the Director of Event Logistics includes various responsibilities such as ensuring that the facility infrastructure is being secured and planned at the venue that will be hosting the annual Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC). He also designs the floor plans and ensures they are built with safety and local fire code policies in mind. Luc also keeps constant communication with venue officials from current and future years and overlooks various volunteers within our organization such as members of our invaluable National Technical Committees.
“If I weren’t at Skills Canada, I would be in autobody repair because I like seeing the Manual dexterity, artistic abilities and all the work needed for something so common such as a dent or a broken piece of plastic.”
Luc loves working with people from across Canada every day. He enjoys traveling to different places and learning about many things. He also cherishes his coworkers and the new friends he makes while working. At SCNC, Luc loves watching the incremental development of projects such as how construction can showcase the project evolution. He finds that seeing the difference between what has been done after day one and day two is impressive and shows the immense talent that we are bringing through our educational system across Canada. During his leisure time, you can find him out into the wilderness with his all-terrain vehicle.
