My Skills Background
I’m the Director of Operations at Excellence Auto Collision. At our company, we’re always looking to help young talent advance their careers. We’re building a skill training program with the hope that more of our staff will compete in Skills competitions for years to come. I personally competed at WorldSkills Helsinki 2005 in Autobody Repair.

Training Champions
I decided to become a Trainer because I genuinely enjoy seeing young people challenge themselves and achieve their personal goals. Our team is going to collaborate with our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to build a training program for our competitor. We want him to be well prepared and familiar with new equipment, as well as with a variety of OEM repair procedures.

I’ll know that we’ve succeeded in our training when we see our competitor do his absolute best and finish with no regrets. I believe the competition promotes skill development and personal growth. So, I hope that our competitor strives for success, enjoys the competition and makes memories that will last a lifetime.

Why I Love Volunteering

I feel fortunate to volunteer at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, in Shanghai. I hope I can help our competitor build his confidence and strengthen his skills so that he can reach his full potential at the event. We’ve worked together for three years and have built a trusting working relationship, so I’m delighted that he chose me to be his trainer.
