My Skills Background
I’m the Director of Education at ConsuLab, where I lead an educational product development team for automotive and heavy vehicle training aids. I’m passionate about helping the next generation of skilled tradespeople succeed, by making technical education more accessible and aligned with the demands of the workplace. This is my first time as an Expert.
The Importance of Training
My approach focuses on technical skills, mental toughness and practicing under competition-like conditions to build confidence and adaptability. Motivation ebbs and flows so in the next year we’ll help our competitor maintain consistent focus during training. To me, success means maximizing the competitor’s potential and helping them perform at their best. I look forward to being inspired by the many young skilled competitors at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.
The Value of the Skills for Success
Problem Solving, Reading and Communication are the skills that will help my competitor triumph at the competition. I hope this experience helps them realize the limitless opportunities that are available to them with a career in the skilled trades.
Why I Love Volunteering
The skills movement has had a profound impact on my career and life – without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I volunteer because I want to help others achieve that same success and support them in going even further.
