Steve Benns is this year’s 2026 Skills/Compétences Canada Volunteer Achievement Award recipient. He is the Culinary Program Co-ordinator at Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario.

Benns has been involved with the Skills community since 2006 in many different capacities both in Ontario and at the national level. He has gone above and beyond in his role as Infrastructure Representative to ensure the success of the Cooking Skill Area at the Skills Canada National Competition 2026 in Toronto.
