WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition: Testimonial from Brian Nicholl

Brian Nicholl is the WorldSkills Team Canada 2022 Expert for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

What was your favourite part of your WorldSkills experience?

To have the opportunity to give back to my trade and to see the competitors to excel over the four days and challenging them to do their best is rewarding and gives us the opportunity to compare our skills to others around the world and this can be brought back to our classrooms.

What impact did competing or participating at the international level have on you?

This opportunity has helped me grow as a person as I have gained valuable respect for other cultures and people from around the World.

Who would you like to thank?

I would like to thank our competitor Tanner Harbin, his trainer Justin Everden, and Marie-Eve Poulin from Skills Canada. Together we were a strong team.

A big shout out to WorldSkills, Skills Canada, Skills Canada Alberta, Skills Canada Nova Scotia and of course my employer, the Nova Scotia Community College who has supported me in this journey for many years. A special thanks to World Skills Germany for making this happen in such a short time. Great job!
