Dayton Playford, the WorldSkills Team Canada 2022 Competitor in Welding, won a Medallion for Excellence at the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, in Cleveland, USA.
What was your favourite part of your WorldSkills experience?
My favourite part of the WorldSkills Competition experience was getting to meet new people with shared interests, and seeing how everyone approaches the same projects in different ways.
What impact did competing or participating at the international level have on you?
It has shown me that I have the capabilities to compete at the world stage level. It has also instilled confidence in myself to the point where I feel I can tackle any project that comes my way.
